Essay

The dissertation is a systematized investigation of interaction between the painting and literary works of B. Lepkyi, which were created in the context of Ukrainian-Polish relations and cultural environment within the boundary of XIX-XX century. The little known material of the writer's biography has been depicted, emphasized the problem of transformation of different kinds of art in his literary works, the pictorial reminiscence in his poetry and prose works has been analyzed, the literary works have been interpreted in the light of such categories as "creative dialogue", "cultural fields", "genetic and contact relationships" and fine art categories.
