Ivko A. Event aspects of XX century musical form

This thesis centers about a concept of musical event – a general universal that concretize the flowing of musical time. The musical event as an analytical category is the most actual for research of XX century music and its form-building processes. The fundamental survey of event categorial features in a context of existing scientific, philosophical and artistic conceptions of Time is carried out. The main principles of musical time organisation in contemporary music are analyzed from event point of view. The ramified terminology system for event structure analysis in musical com-position is created. The systematisation of XX century musical forms by event crite-ria of their organisation is proposed. The event structure and its interaction with mu-sical form-building process are analyzed on examples of contemporary musical compositions.
