Havrylyuk S. The interpretation of the images of the forest lands on the materials of the scanner's satellite survey (by the example of Western Forest-Steppe of Ukraine)

In the dissertation work the interpretation problem of images of the Ukrainian Forest-Steppe land funds on the basis of the scanner's satellite survey was discussed. The methodical approaches of the vegetation interpretation and the separation of different objects of the Earth surface were worked. The thematic map of forest covered lands ("forest mask") and on its basis the digital map of the forests of the Western Forest-Steppe of Ukraine by the groups of species based on satellite image Landsat were created. The main parametric rules of the supervised classification were estimated and the most informative band combinations for the interpretation of the lands of the forest fund were defined. The precision of received thematic maps were estimated. For increase of precision of digital map of the forests of the Western Forest-Steppe of Ukraine different levels of probabilities were passed. The sample plot materials and the data of the monitoring sample plots were used to conduct an investigation.
