The approaches to such key concepts of investigation as the system of terms and terminology, the status of met language, its ontological features, the relations of met language and linguistic terminology are analyzed under investigation. The working definitions of notions like “term”, “terminology”, “the system of terms”, “nomenclature” and others are formulated. The dynamic processes in Crimean Tatar linguistic system of terms are described in dissertation; the circle of sources which can be useful in diachronic approach to this problem is outlined. The division of Crimean Tatar linguistic terminology formation into periods correlating with the life stages of Crimean Tatars and also with the periods of linguistic terminology development in other Turkic languages is presented. The analysis of Crimean Tatar linguistic terminology allowing to determine its systematic status was carried out. Some diverse systematic relations are revealed and thoroughly characterized. These are paradigmatic (synonymy, antonymy, hyper-hyponymy, homonymy, polysemy, partitive ties; genetic layers, structural-grammatical types of terms, parts of speech categories) and epidigmatic (derivational relations, forming terminological nests).
