Smyrnov A. Church, Public and Political Activity of Stepan Skrypnyk From 1930 Till 1944.

The dissertation provides the results of the complex research into Mstyslav's (Stepan Skrypnyk's) church work, public and political activity in 1930-1944. The formation of the social outlook, parliamentary, party, cultural and educational work of S.Skrypnyk in interwar period are analyzed on the basis of the numerous sources, including those introduced to research for the first time. His role in functioning of publishing house and newspaper Volyn is retraced. Skrypnyk's participation in the national and church movement for ukrainization of the Orthodox Church in Poland, and the institutionalization of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Church is studied in detail.
