Bilostotska Z. Depressive disorders in inhabitants in of rural areas (clinical-psychopathological description, diagnosis and therapy)

Dissertation deals with the problems of depressive disorders in the inhabitants of rural areas. In the carried research 209 patients were observed with depression, among them there were 113 inhabitants of the rural area and 96 - urban inhabitants. On the basis of the complex clinical data, history, clinical psychopathological, psy-chometric, psychodiagnostical, statistical methods, the causes have been investi-gated, condition for the formation, clinical-psychopathological structure of depres-sive disorders in the rural inhabitants has been studied. The role of premorbid types of the character and psychogenic factors in the development of the depressive disor-ders in the mentioned cohort of the patients has been determined. Social, medical and mental factors that determine the increased pre-hospital course of the depres-sions in the rural inhabitants have been identified and structured. The main forms of the depressive syndromes in the rural inhabitants have been studied, analysis of initial manifestations and comorbidity of depressive disorders in the mentioned cohort of the patients have been studied. The specificity of the self-evacuation, color selection, emotional components of relations, structure of personalities in the rural inhabitants have been studied. The criteria of diagnosis and differential diagnosis pf depressive disorders in the rural inhabitants have been grounded scientifically; these criteria have been developed and approved for the principles of therapy and organization of the aid for the patients with depressive disorders, inhabitants of rural areas.
