In the dissertation the scientific problem directed on increase to efficiency of gathering of sugar-beet by reduction of losses during work of the haulm gatherer at the expense of decreasing of number of damaged and dislodged highly located edible roots is solved.The technical development are introduced into serial manufacture in OAO "Ternopol combine factory". The economic efficiency from introduction of the advanced mechanism has made 878.6 grn on hectare.
