In the thesis an attempt of complex and comparative-typological analysis of expressive means typical of the works by P. Tychyna, M. Rylskyy, Ye. Malanyuk, Ye. Pluznyk, B.-I. Antonych, S. Hordynskyy, G. Apollinaire, M. Jacob, P, Reverdi, P. Tluard, P.-J. Jouve, L. Aragon, Rochfort school poets and others is made for the sake of thorough study and interpretation of poetic texts of above-mentioned authors as well as in order to clarify and classify language means of expressing poetic ideas new for that period. The phenomenon of synaesthesia became the dominant feature of Ukrainian and French poetry of the period in question. This is most brightly represented in creativity of P. Tychyna, P. Eluard, S. Hordynskyy, P.Reverdi.
