Pokhodzilo Y. Legal adjustment of public charity in the provinces of the left-bank Ukraine in the 19th - beginning of 20th centuries.

The process of development and legal adjusting of the public charity system of the Russian empire and its realization in the provinces of Left-bank Ukraine in the 19th - beginning of 20th centuries is analyzed. Quality of centralized management the public charity system is set. Large attention is spared systematizing of imperial experience in the field of public charity. In the thesis, the basic types of establishments, which operated in the system of public charity in Russian empire, are investigated. Comprehensively activity is described as public bodies of power and management as the local bodies of self-government, activity of eleemosynary organizations and societies in the field of public charity. Conclusions are formulated on probed questions.
