Object of research: economic relations where the competitiveness of dairy cattle production of Lviv region agricultural enterprises is formed. Aim of research: development of theoretical and methodological bases of competitiveness mechanism of dairy cattle production and ways of it’s improving. Methods: abstractional and logical, monographic, graphic, statistical and economic, calculation and structural, balanced. Theoretical and practical results: Theoretical and methodological basis of research are basic items of economic theory and dialectical approach to the study of economic processes and phenomena, scientific developments of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of competition and competitiveness of products, legislative and other normative acts of Ukraine on the questions of competition and competition relations. The practical value of the achieved results is in that their application will allow to increase the level of competitiveness of dairy cattle production and efficiency of activity of the region agricultural enterprises. Scientific novelty: System of management of quality of products was developed for the first time considering regional terms. This system is based on realization of the proper program with prognostication of indexes and providing the output of commodities of appropriate quality as well as its monitoring and coordination of work. The research develops the notional mechanism of defining the categories of “competition” and “competitiveness of agricultural product” and the actual scientific views on the problems of cooperation and integration of production which increase competitiveness of dairy cattle production. As the result the structure of integrated dairy association is suggested. New methodical approaches got new development as to the evaluation of competitiveness of dairy cattle production and it’s indexes. In addition theoretical bases of innovational directions of activity in dairy provision subcomplex with their detailing in reference to dairy cattle branch anddairy industry are also in the focus of research. Degree of implementation: It is implemented by main board of agroindustrial development of Lviv regional state administration, board of agroindustrial development of Sokal' and Yavoriv district state administrations. Efficiency: Realization of results of researches will provide forming of competitiveness mechanism of dairy cattle production due to the improving of innovational activity, extending of cooperation and integration of production. Sphere, field of use: main board of agroindustrial development of region and district state administrations and also educational process of agrarian educational establishment.
