Essay

The research results of activated carbon materials both of organic and synthetic origin used as electrodes of electrochemical capacitors are presented in thesis. The influence of chemical and thermal modification on structural transformation in activated carbon materials, electron-ion processes in double electric layer on electrode/electrolyte boundary, and accordingly power intensity characteristics of capacitor formed on its basis are investigated. The behavior of given carbon materials is studied at set of water and aprotic electrolyte solutions.
