Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying of frequency of the puberty and goitre disturbance among boys, who live in the iodine deficiency region; to elucidation of the peculiarities of its clinical progress; to investigation of the hormone condition of the hypophysis – gonad system and thyroid gland and also to substantiating of the approaches to the therapy and prophylaxis of this disturbance on condition of the iodine deficiency. 7596 boys at the age of 12 – 17 were investigated, for the permanent observation 181 patients and 20 healthy persons were selected. It was elucidated that 7,1 % of boys had puberty disturbance and among them 56,9 % of patients have thyroid gland of the I – II degrees. The reduction of iodine excretion with urine was revealed, on the background of the increased sizes of TSH among 62,3 % of the investigated and 43,5 % of them had the reduction of T 3 free, T 4 free levels so they were diagnosed with the correlated hypogonad. Clinical peculiarities of the correlated hypogonad find expression in backward of the primary and secondary sex features, lower height, infantilism of skeleton along with signs of overt hypothyroidism, the reduction of T – levels and breaking of correlation between T/LH. The therapy algorithm of this disturbance was substantiated and approved.
