The dissertation is devoted determination of semantic features of the Christmas choral and theatrical genres of folk-lores, and also conversion of musical row of festive canonical divine Service in the professional musical art of Ukraine of period of independence. On the basis of determination of the most characteristic tipological signs of the Christmas musical genres the comparison analysis of their transformation in the Ukrainian professional musical art of period of independence was carried out.
