Pulatova L. Typology of Ukrainian and German wedding rites phrasemic expressions.

The new approach to structural and typological comparison of wedding rites phrasemic expressions (WRP) in Ukrainian and German is suggested in the research. According to the character of wedding customs cycling in both ethnic groups there were 4 structural WRP types with nuclear-foundational semantic field organisation discovered: the one with the WRP nucleus of the wedding cycle and the other - WRP foundation of pre-marriage, pre-wedding and post-wedding cycles. It singled out common chronological features as for conducting Ukrainian and German wedding customary procedures, as well as in WRP conceptualisation but there is a different motivation in their formation which is connected with extralinguistic factors, or national and cultural realias. According to the results of reconstructing the "rite" notion of the semantic field of the lexical unit "wedding", 4 semantic types of WRP on the following definitions were pointed out: 1) pre-marriage relationship; 2) description of youth's exterior; 3) inner world of a would-be couple; 4) with the semic structure of "to pick up your spouse", which appeared to be full and partial equivalents: with different imaginaries/common implicit form, common motivation / different explicit form.
