Object - functional gastrointestinal disorders in overweight and normal body mass patients; aim - increase of treatment effectiveness; novelty - for the first time the melatonin metabolism in functional gastrointestinal disorders in overweight patients and its correlation to the vegetative and hormonal disbalance were investigated. The independent predictors of insufficient effectiveness of functional gastrointestinal disorders standard therapy were revealed. The expediency of Vita-melatonin administration in functional gastrointestinal disorders in overweight patients was proved. The results - were introduced into studying process and practical medicine; area of application - medicine.
