The object of the research: the artistic, non-fictional and epistolary texts of Joseph Roth and correlative with them prosaic works of Bohdan Lepkyj, Myroslav Irchan, Roman Kupchynskyj, Osyp Turianskyj about the World war I in its existential dimensions. The aim: modeling of the Ukrainian literary interchange of Jo-seph Roth's creativity on the basis of the texts in the Habsburg myth area. Practical significance: Applying the research materials to the literary studies of special courses and textbooks on World Literature and Com-parative Studies and their application in the student's and master's researches. Methods: comparative his-torical, typological methods, the elements of the struc-tural functional analysis of texts and strategies of the reader's response criticism.
