Shusterman T. Psychocorrection and prophylaxis of psychical deadaptation at the relatives of patients with a primary psychotic episode

By means of complex investigation 88 relatives of 55 patients with a primary psychotic episode were observed. At 53 (60,2%) inspected neurotic (77,3%), depressed (20,8%) and acute like schizophrenic (1,9%) psychical impairments were found out. On the basis of experimental-psychological and social-psychological researches weight of depressed and anxious symptomatic was appraised, the dominant method of working out vital problems, attitudes to toward itself, to surrounding were found out and information about level of quality of life of patients with a primary psychotic episode and their relatives was received. Developed and introduced stage-by-stage differentiated system of psychocorrection and program of prophylaxis allowed to improve the mental condition of patients with a primary psychotic episode and their relatives substantially, improve their quality of life, reduce frequency of the repeated hospitalizations in psychiatric permanent establishment considerably.
