Essay

The process of political-religious centralization of medieval Halych in the context of the formation of political-ideological conditions for the rise of Halych metropolia in the XIV th century is researched in the thesis. The religious world-view ideology of Halych and Halych-Volyn principalities is determined in the light of the feudal parceling of Kyivan Rus and the political and religious centralization of Halych. Internal and foreign political life of Halych and Halych-Volhyn principalities as well as their influence on the rise of Halych mytropolia is considered in the thesis. Means and methods of the struggle between the Constantinople patriarchate and Pope’s throne for the influence on the Eastern Europe’s territory are investigated in the connection with their religious-ideological confrontation, using their influence on the secular and sacred power in Halychyna and Volhyn during the XII – XV th centuries.
