3. The aim of the thesis is justification of the directions for the improvement of public administration in the field of social protection of the population under the market economy, development of the theoretical and practical provisions concerning public administration effectiveness increase in Ukraine. The object of the thesis - economical relations arising in process of public administration in the field of social protection of the population under the market economy. In order to solve the tasks formulated it was applied in the course of the research the complex of the scientific and the special methods: deduction, induction, historical and logical, scientific abstracting, system-analytical, economic-mathematical, forecasting etc, that enable to generalize the scientific developments of the national and international economist scholars, to recognize the priorities and the directions for the improvement of public administration in the field of social protection of the population under the market economy (by the example of Ukraine). The scientific novelty of the results obtained consists in the solution of the important scientific-practical task in the field of the economy and national economy management - to justify the ways of improvement of public administration mechanisms in the field of social protection of the population under the market economy in Ukraine. The conclusions and concrete recommendations that may be applied by the public authorities of the legislative and executive power, including the Ministry of labor and social policy of Ukraine, in the process of the improvement of public administration in the field of social protection of the population are formulated in the thesis.
