This thesis is a complex study of how documents collected by Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg (ERR), a specialized Nazi organization that was operating during World War II on Occupied Eastern Territories (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), serve as a source base to study history of Nazi research of said territories, in light of ideological and direct goals of ERR during 1941-1944. Structure, function and goals of ERR, direction of it's scientific research and methodology is analyzed, as well as work of Einsatzstab's Headquarters and departments, Sonderstabs (Rosenberg's Special Commands), main Task Forces of Ukraine and Ostland in areas of scientific studies of Occupied Eastern Europe. Activity of the Central Library of Hohe Schule and Ostb?cherei (Eastern Library), and other research organizations of the Third Reich is highlighted. It is suggested to use a source-study classification of Einsatzstab's documents, based on principles of the origin, function, type and direction ofEinsatzstab's activities, as well as content and subject matter of documents. Content, specifics and source-study value of Einsatzstab's documents are identified for studies of Nazi activities in areas of collection, studies and use of information as it relates to history, politics, economy, science, culture, education, natural resources of Occupied Eastern Territories in context of realization of basic Nazi doctrine and propaganda.
