Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of some questions of the theory of A-infinity-categories. In particular, we investigate the relation between different approaches to the unitality of A-infinity-categories (they all turn out to be equivalent); next, we construct the free A-infinity-category and study its properties; finally, the theory of A-infinity-bimodules over A-infinity-categories is developed and as an application we propose a generalization of the notion of Serre A-infinity-functor and give a criterion for the existence of Serre A-infinity-functors.
