Essay

The dissertation is devoted to development of ammetric type electrochemical sensor for measuring carbon dioxide content in air. The mechanism and kinetics of redox processes on manganese dioxide is investigated. It is developed gas-diffusion manganese dioxide electrode on titanium basis, having by stable functions of response of potential under affecting of absorbed carbon dioxide. The auxiliary electrode containing oxyhydroxide of lead is generated, allowing to provide a constant potential by stabilization of composition of electrolyte at absorption of carbon dioxide. Theoretically proved and practically realized sensor of carbon dioxide of galvanic type which act sets up on compensations of change рН at absorption of determined gas owing to reduction of pyrolytic manganese dioxide on working electrode
