Essay

The subject of this research is - chemical and electrochemical transformations at the interfacial boundary and in the oxide layer during the formation of plasma-electrolyte coatings on the parts of the piston group of engines of armored vehicles. The purpose of the study is - to develop a method of plasma-electrolyte formation of catalytic cobalt-containing coatings of a given composition and functional properties on the parts of the piston group of engines of armored vehicles. Research methods ‒ voltammetry, energy dispersion X-ray spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy, scanning probe microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, electrode impedance spectroscopy. Theoretical and practical results - regularities and stages of synthesis in one technological process of heteroxide coatings by plasma-electrolyte oxidation of multicomponent aluminum alloys with minimization of the content of their alloying elements, formation of the developed monoxide matrix of carrier metal and incorporation of target components are established. Various schemes of plasma-electrolyte treatment of multicomponent aluminum alloys in diphosphate solutions with minimization of the content of alloying elements in the surface layers and formation of heteroxide coatings with cobalt with specified functional properties have been developed. Novelty - the idea of formation of heteroxide coatings on piston alloys of aluminum (silumina) is developed and the factors influencing their composition, structure and morphology, as well as the dependence of functional properties of the obtained layers on the modes of formation and composition of the processed material. Degree of implementation - tests of laboratory samples and experimental products with developed coatings were carried out at PF "PROMENERGO", Department of Internal Combustion Engines of NTU "KhPI". Scope - technology of electrochemical production, in research institutes and educational process.
