Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of photoelectrochemical process on modify GaAs- and InР- electrodes, as well as using modify electrodes in photoelectrochemical systems for transformation sunlight and accumulation hydrogen. There is designed the methodology modification of surface GaAs- and InР- electrodes by nanoparticles Pt, Au, CdS, fullerites and Zn.It is shown, that photoelectrochemical processes on GaAs- and InР- electrodes take place by participation of surface electronic state, at the same time this surface modification brings to decrease of their concentration and decrease of recombination loss of carrier charge and increase of the photocatalytic activity surface, in the result of this increase the photoconversion efficiency. It is shown, that the modified GaAs- photoanode in aggregate with cathodes based on La-Ni-Co-Al alloys are the effective materials for conversion of sunlight energy with hydrogen accumulation.
