Smal T. Amniotic membrane transplantation efficacy for noninfective cornea ulcers

Object - noninfectious corneal ulcers. Purpose - to increase the treatment efficacy of patients with noninfectious corneal ulcers. Methods - clinical, histomorphological, bacteriological, biochemical, statistical. Apparatus - operating microscope, slit lamp, mirror ophthalmoscope. The method of noninfectious corneal ulcers modeling was worked out. The data concerning properties of amniotic membrane and its positive influence during the transplantation on the functional stability of tear film in patients with noninfectious corneal ulcers have been added. For the first time the therapeutic effect of amniotic membrane transplantation on the model of the noninfectious ulcer of the cornea is proved. The scientific data about the positive mechanism of the influence of amniotic membrane on the cornea are extended. Results - the new method of the transplant fixation without suture, which precipitates epithelisation, infiltration dissolving in 1,5 time as well as the disappearance of negative subjective sensations triply, and also increases visual acuity for 0,12 is developed too. Indications for the reconstructive surgery of the amniotic membrane transplantation for noninfectious corneal ulcers treatment are proposed. The results of study are adopted in ROTC MCCH of first aid and in CMC "Microsurgery of the eye" of Lviv 6th Municipal Hospital, and also in eye diseases department of LNMU named after Danylo Halytskyy.
