Antonymous of lexical-semantic group of the adjectives with the meaning of "bold" and "timid" in modern German. The aim is the investigation of formation and functioning lexical-semantic groups of the adjectives "bold" and "timid" in the German languagesynchrony. The methods are descriptive, statistical, psycholinguistic. The structure of lexical-semantic groups with the meaning of "bold" and "timid" on the basis of paradigmatic and syntagmatic group characteristics was defined for the first time. Extension of existing ideas about the epidigmatic structure of the lexical meaning of the adjectives. The usage - in theoretical courses of general linguistics. The sphere of usage - higher school.
