Essay

In the dissertation species composition of earthworms of Left-bank Ukraine was investigated. 25 species and 7 subspecies were found that are relate to 8 genuses of Lumbricidae family. Their morphological characteristic was observed in detail with usage of new specific systematical characteristic - typhlosole's form and square. Definitive tables of earthworms of Left-bank Ukraine were worked out. Faunistic complexes of earthworms in the main biotopes of all natural climatic zones were discovered.
