The object: the concepts’ MASCULINITY and FEMININITY evaluative content in contemporary English literary discourse. The objective of the research: establishing the lingual-cultural specificity of realization of the concepts MASCULINITY and FEMININITY evaluative content actualization by male and female subjects in contemporary English literary discourse. The methods: definitional, componential, semantic-associative, quantitative analysis, frame modeling, cognitive-pragmatic interpretation. Novelty: integration of conventional and discursive aspects of the concepts MASCULINITY and FEMININITY evaluative content actualization by male and female subjects in contemporary English literary discourse; revealing notional-evaluative content of the researched concepts; clearing out the role of explication and implication in the discursive actualization of the concepts evaluative potential, singling out primary and secondary evaluative markers which qualify male and female referents and revealing the specificity of their use bу male and female subjects. Theoretical value: the results favour the development of methods and means of cognitive-discursive direction of concepts research, contributing into cognitive linguistics and linguistic axiology, gender linguistics and the theory of conceptual metaphor. Practical application: the results can be used in theoretical courses of English Lexicology, English Stylistics , in special courses on cognitive semantics, pragmalinguistics, gender studies.
