Zherebtsova L. The formation of the customs system in the Ukrainian lands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania: sources and methods of research.

The object is the complex of sources which are consisted of the legal documents and the documents of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania chancery - Lithuanian Metrika. The aim - to develop method for reconstruction and studying of the sources base concerning research of the customs system in the Ukrainian lands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Methods of analysis and synthesis, method of classification, structure and functioning analysis, chronological method, diplomatic analysis, form and clause analysis, technologies of data base. The peculiarities of the customs system in the Ukrainian lands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania on the basis of archive and public documents from the Lithuanian Metrika books are studied in complex. The classification of the documents of Lithuanian Metrika which contain information about customs system by type was made. The information and search system called "Myto" was created with the purpose to save archive and published materials which contain data about duties in the Ukrainian lands in the end of the 15th - in the middle of the 16th centuries. Application sphere is education.
