A system of highly-sensitive equipment was created for conducting double-station observations of meteor phenomena and other weak stellar objects. Spectral sensitivity testing of transmitting TV tube LI-804 was carried out along with distribution of photometric field error of photoelectric cathode. Simultaneous photographic and television meteor observations were carried out with a view to developing a technique of kinematic and photometric processing of television observations results. The said television system is used to conduct systematic regular double-station meteors observations, and catalogues of kinematic and photometric characteristics of meteors were created. Materials of observations enabled assessing the luminous efficiency coefficient of meteors and its dependence on velocity. An approximate method of definition of beginning photometric masses of meteoroids was developed.
