Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the system analysis of the essence and specifications of political aspects of the foreign concepts of information society. The theoretic and methodological base of scientific investigation is specified. The new author's politological definition of information society is proposed. It was proved that J.Masuda was the "father-founder" of the information society's concept. He and later E.Toffler, M.Castels, F.Webster and a few other scientists made the most important contribution to the development of that concept. It was also shown that at that time the concept of knowledge society has been developing by the efforts of P.Drucker, F.Machlup, T.Stounier and others. It was argued that J.Masuda was the very first scientist who began fundamental investigation of the political aspects of the information society's. Later E.Toffler, M.Castels, P.Drucker and some others joined him. The author found out the essence and the specifications of the political aspects of information society's foreign concepts. They are following: epoch metamorphosis of political power; radical changes in political, electoral and party systems; crisis of the representative democracy and transition to the direct democracy; precipitation of the processes of civic society's formation; widening of human rights and so on.
