Essay

The structures of triterpene glycosides from Сussonia paniculata Eckl. et Zeih leaves, stems and flowers are elucidated. Among 33 isolated glycosides, 18 are new compounds. They have 2-О-acetyl, 3-О-acetyl and 4-О-acetyl-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1®4)-О-b-D-glucopyrano-syl-(1®6)-О-b-D-glucopyranosyl carbohydrate fragments on aglycon C-28. The main triterpene glycoside is a new glycoside of ?-amyrin type - 28-О-a-L-rhamno-pyranosyl-(1®4)-О-b-D-glucopyranosyl-(1®6)-О-b-D-glucopyranosyl ester of 23-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid. The molluscicidal activity of monodesmosidic glycosides have been studied. The presents activity at glycosides of ?-amyrin row and absence at glycosides of ?-amyrin and lupane rows are shown.
