Essay

The possibility to produce foamed concrete with increased thermal-mechanical properties based on alkaline Portland cement for heat insulation of high-temperature equipment was theoretically substantiated and practically confirmed. Interrelation between mix composition, treatment conditions, phase composition of microstructure after hydration and dehydration and properties of an artificial stone based on alkaline Portland cements modified by different aluminosilicate sources was determined. Technological parameters and mix proportions for producing foamed concrete with a density of 600 kg/m3, application temperature limit of 600?C, thermal resistance up to 17 air cycles, compressive strength of 0.6…1.8 N/mm2, residual strength after firing at 600?C of 70% and contraction of 0.9% were developed. Such properties makes possible to produce fire resistant constructions and heat resistant thermal-insulating materials. Also there is a possibility to produce monolithic insulating constructions due to the usinga "barotechnology"
