Bilyk V. Procedural and institutional basis of the police function implementation in Ukraine

The thesis studies the implementation of the police function. The work considers the course of development and implementation of the police function in the historical and legal perspective and its present status in Ukraine as well as the peculiarities of the legal determination of the terms "police" and "militia". The notion, content and elements of the state police function are defined. The thesis analyses the police activity as a means to implement the state police function. Special attention in the thesis is accorded to the foundation of the viewpoint that the modern police law is a sub-branch of the administrative law. The thesis contains propositions of the introduction of amendments and additions concerning the peculiarities of the implementation of the police function to the Ukrainian law.
