Melnichuk M. The efficiency of systematic mediastinal lymph dissection in patients with lung cancer.

Dissertation is dedicated to treatment optimization of patients with primary resectable rectal cancer by decrease of relapse frequency using electrohyperthermia methods. 90 patients rectal cancer Т2-4N0M0 were examined. The basic group: 50 patients with rectal cancer, who received treatment: neoadjuvant X-ray therapy with locoregional electrohyperthermia (every day 1 hour after radiation therapy during 60 minutes with temperature 45 ?С) and operation the next day. The control group: 40 with rectal cancer, who received treatment: neoadjuvant X-ray therapy and operation the next day. Neoangiogenesis was investigated by studiing of endothelial marker CD34 and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 type (VEGFR1). Locoregional electrohyperthermia was performed with EHY 2000 device. The neoadjuvant use of locoregional electrohyperthermia and X-ray therapy reduces neoangiogenesis grade by expression decrease of markers VEGFR1 and CD34. Complex treatment with neoadjuvant locoregional electrohyperthermia and X-ray therapy reduces local rectal cancer relapse frequency for 13 % by angiogenesis decrease.
