Essay

The dissertation covers the studying of the place of marginal conception in criminology, interrelation of marginal processes in society and organized crime. The structure of the organized crime is discovered. The problems of separate marginal groups’ participation in the organized criminal activity, their place and most typical their functions in the structure of the organized criminal groups are analyzed. The marginal state of individuals and social groups is proved to be a criminogenic factor and it considerably makes their involvement easier in the organized criminal activity; the degree of criminogenic marginalization is grounded to depend on its type. The number of theoretical and practical guidelines directed to improve and increase the efficiency of activities of the organized crime prevention in the context of marginal processes in the Ukrainian society is formulated
