The dissertation is aimed at the development of physical and chemical model of the pig-iron desulphurization ladle by means of dispersed magnesium blowing in, the improvement of technological regimes of liquid melt treatment and submerged lance designs.With the use of modern procedures of high-temperature modeling the new reliable information about the mechanism peculiarities and kinetics of pig-iron desulphurization, hydrodynamic and physical and chemical regularities of liquid melt treatment by means of dispersed magnesium blowing in with the help of different submerged lance designs was obtained. On the basis of theoretical and experimental works done the physical and chemical model of pig-iron desulphurization by magnesium has been specified. The ways of pig-iron desulphurization with dispersed magnesium blowing in through multi-nozzled submerged lances, equipped with vaporizers with heat-transferring wall and nozzles like pine in a pipe, have been theoretically and experimentally grounded. The technological recommendations as for the blowing in regime of the pig-iron treatment by dispersed magnesium as well as simultaneous desulphurization and desilication realization of liquid melt in the casting ladle with the reagent blowing in through two submerged lances were given and directed to the industrial introduction
