Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of etiological structure and resistance to antibiotics of pathogens isolated from women with genital inflammatory diseases (GID). The study involved 183 patients with GID. It was revealed that there are differences in etiological structure of microorganisms and their antibiotic resistance depending on the type of disease of cervix uteri and vagina in patients with GID. Schemes of antimicrobial treatment of GID were developed taking into account the risk of isolating multidrug-resistant strains and the presence of cervical and vaginal pathology. Experiments in vitro substantiated synergy action of gatifloxacin-cefotaxime, gatifloxacin-ceftriaxon, gatifloxacin-thyme oil, and gatifloxacin-tea tree oil combinations against reference strains and strains isolated from women with GID.
