English phraseologisma with British ethnocultural semantic component/ The aim is to investigate the role of ethnocultural component in semantic organization of English phraseplogical units of a British origin. The methods are descriptive, etymological construction.The study of the meaning structure of ethnoculturally marked phraseological units of a British origin was carried out from the point of view of cognitive semasiology. The establishment of conceptual mapping features in the meaning formation of the investigated phraseological units deepens the theory of conceptual metaphor.
