Essay

Experimental stand of the collective ion accelerator consisting of the intense pulsed electron accelerator based on magnetically-isolated diode that generates tubular intense relativistic electronic beam (IREB), of the system of plasma guns for external injection of plasma in area of the virtual cathode, and of the spatially-periodic magnetic field destined for spatial modulation of IREB is created. Acceleration of plasma ions by an electric field of the virtual cathode is obtained which stream serves as an injector to the main section where acceleration is provided by the space charge wave arising at IREB modulation in time and in space. Temporary modulation of IREB (frequency 46 MHz and depth 10 %) is performed by the virtual cathode, which electric field oscillates in time at periodic compensation of space charge by ions of injected plasma. Spatial modulation of IREB (period 6см and depth 12 %) occurs at its transportation in an external spatially-periodic magnetic field.
