Theoretical principles of the investments in the personnel development efficiency of the enterprise are investigated in the work. The necessity of considerable investments in human resources of the enterprise on the basis of e range of generals of the human capital theory is proved. The classification of the investments in the enterprise personnel development according to different features is carried out as well as of the benefits from their realization. The estimation methods of the investments project efficiency are adapted for determination of the effectiveness of the investments in preparation, retraining and advanced courses for gaining higher qualification of the workers. Complex research of the modern state and tendencies of investing of the personnel development are conducted at the enterprises of Ukraine. The priority directions of the investments efficiency increasing in the personnel development of the enterprise through optimization of the expenses on workers education, creation of human resources departments, labour motivation system improvement and means of social partnership application.
