Essay

The thesis focuses on the comparative-typological study of semantic object and types of its manifestation in the present-day Ukrainian and English languages. The analysis of the structural-semantic variants of deep semantic object has made it possible to highlight universal and differential characteristics of objective semantics on the surface level of the Ukrainian and English sentences. On the basis of the comparative analysis of formal and semantic structures of the languages under study the invariant means of the semantic object presentation have been distinguished. The principles of the correlation of different means of conveying objective semantics have been analyzed, and the specificity of their interaction on the level of the sentence formal-grammatical structure against the background of the national-lingual peculiarities of the languages under comparison has been characterized in terms of case grammar theory.
