The thesis comprises scientific research of the economically substantiated forming of the strategy for restructuring of the automotive transport enterprises. The role of transport and its place in the transport complex are stated. The modern stage of development of the national transport industry and main trends in restructuring of transport are investigated. The methods of selecting and forming of the strategy for restructuring of the automotive transport enterprises have been developed. The model of forming the strategy for restructuring and selecting the priority directions for development of the automotive transport enterprises has been constructed. The eligibility criterion for restructuring of the automotive transport enterprises which enables the complex effectiveness assessment of each strategy of development has been devised.
