Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the investigation of approximative characteristics of classes B^{Omega}_{p,theta} of periodic functions of several variables. We find exact order estimates for the best M-term orthogonal trigonometric approximations, Kolmogorov, trigonometric and linear widths of the classes B^{Omega}_{1,theta} in the space L_q, 1<p<infty. Order estimates for the best M-term trigonometric approximations and Kolmogorov widths of the classes B^{Omega}_{p,theta} in the space L_q for some values of parameters p and q are obtained also.
