Essay

26 species of peritrichia are identified in two sewage treatment plants from Zhytomyr. 3 species are new for sewage treatment plants of the world, 19 species are new for Ukrainian sewage treatment plants, 11 - a new for Ukrainian fauna. The keys for identification of 80 peritrichous species found in activated sludge are processed. The dependence of peritrichia species composition from the conditions of sewage treatment plants is explored. The square number of food vacuoles is more representative under mentioned conditions.
