The study reviews the results of comprehensive evaluation of functional pulmonary tests, immunologic status, serum and expiratory air lipid metabolism, and specific changes in intracellular processes in patients with different types of bronchitis. It was possible to differentiate between acute and chronic inflammatory processes based on the status of lipid oxidation reactions and increase in the intracellular activity. The proposed pathogenetic methods of treatment include natural formulations such as Umkalor, Prospan, and Tekom. Findings. The above named treatments resulted in patients' clinical improvement, normalization of pulmonary function and immunologic values, as well as stabilization of intracellular metabolism and erythrocyte and expiratory air's lipid profile
