Essay

The subject of the dissertation is the study of synthesis соnditions, the nature of phosphor-containing silane influence on structural-adsorption characteristics, physical-chemical properties, and sorption capacity of silicas, functionalized by derivatives of phosphonic acids. The phosphorus-containing silicas with phosphonic and thiophosphonic groups were obtained by sol-gel and template methods. The influence of method of synthesis, the nature of phosphor-containing group (-NHP(O)(OC2H5)2, -NHP(S)(OC2H5)2, -P(O)(OC2H5)2), ratio of initial silanes affect on the structure-formation of the synthesized materials, concentration of functional groups on their surface. The composition and the structure of the obtained materials were characterized by the methods of DTA, elemental analysis, SEM, TEM, AFM, IR, 31P, 13С and 29Si CP/MAS NMR spectroscopies. Xerogels with Р(О)(ОН)2 groups was shown to have high sorption activity with respect to ions of UO22+, Dy3+, and thiophosphonic monofunctional silicas are perspective for the separation of mercury(ІІ) from water solutions. Acid functional groups in the surface layer of xerogels =Si-OH, =Si(CH2)2P(O)(OH)2 and =Si(CH2)2P(O)(OH)-OSi= take part in adsorption of molecules of triethylamine with formation of hydrogen bonds.
