Essay

The research focused on the doctrine of energy in the thought of Gregory Palamas. This study concerns the problem of the ontological relationship between the transcendent and immanent dimensions of the Divine Being. The author has analyzed terminological and conceptual evolution of such notion as: "energy". The thesis has considered the significance of the balance in Palamas' apophatic and kataphatic approaches in his thinking about two sides of the nature of God: His intratrinitarian being and God's immanence and "energetic" presence in the world.
