The thesis is devoted to the problem of moral and religious foundations of Ostrog bookmen's philosophic study, based on the orthodox tradition. Phenomenon of Ostrog traditionalism is analyzed on the background of historical and social and cultural processes. Its origin is clarified, i.e. the influence of biblical and Byzantine sources, and Kyiv Russ old printing. Areopagitism doctrine and hesychasm are stated in the role of spiritual basis of Ostog traditionalism that influenced on the development of moral and religious bench-marks and theological and personalistic conception "Inner Person". Demarcation between Renaissance anthropocentrism and Ostrog theoanthropocentrism is taken place in the thesis. Besides, Ostrog component in the anatomy of moral and religious paradigm in Ukrainian philosophical thought is researched. The principal idea is that the spiritual side of the Ostrog traditionalism had considerably influenced the formation of a specific image of the inward person for who morals based onthe religious orthodox platform were fundamental. These morals were at the origins of numerous philosophical systems that were formed on a traditional basis and had protection of their own spiritual heritage and recognition of their uniqueness and importance as their main purpose.
