Bilozor D. Vakhabizm: religiously and political essence and historical transformations.

In this defensive dissertation research the essence of modern Vakhabizm is analysed, especially its transformations as a result of geopolitical situation changes in the world, as well as the role and position of Vakhabizm in the newest religious processes. Vakhabizm is considered to be one of the trends of sunit islam, that recived the radical features in the second half of the ХХth - and in the beginning of the ХХІst centuries. The works of the founder of this movement Mukhammed Ibn Abd al-Vakhab and his followers are examined. The modern state of Vakhabizm and its extention over to different moslem countries and other states of the world is studied.
